As Ethernet speeds shift from 1G to 2.5G, 5G, and 10G Base-T speeds, integrated magnetics designs must evolve. High-frequency signals are highly susceptible to parasitic capacitance and return loss variations. FiddlLink's engineering team is developing integrated connector modules with minimized signal paths and advanced internal routing to control differential impedance at 100Ω.
At the same time, reflow processes are requiring smaller footprints. Our upcoming products feature mid-board mounted designs that lower the mechanical profile of the connector. By reducing the visual height above the PCB from 13.5mm to 9.8mm, we allow server and switch designs in Hanoi’s manufacturing facilities to maximize airflow efficiency and component layout density.
